Minimoog was one of the first portable synthesizers and one of the most iconic ever made. It was created by Dr. Robert Moog and produced between 1970 and 1980. The sounds made with that instrument are massively used even in contemporary songs.
The synth was used by many bands, including Kraftwerk, a German band founded back in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schnieder. They are considered “The Pioneers of Electronic Music” for promoting completely new tendencies in popular music. Their influence on rhythms like Synthpop, Techno, and even contemporary Hip-Hop is notorious.
Since a long time ago, Kraftwerk's sounds have been an enigma. After many years studing the sounds used on Kraftwerk's recording, I recently created the e-book "Recreating 10 sounds by Kraftwerk on the Minimoog". This e-book is a quick guide to show you how to recreate the accurate sounds used by Kraftwerk (German Band) in their emblematic songs using any replica of the legendary synthesizer Minimoog, both in hardware (the physical analog synthesizer), both a virtual model (a VST plugin).
